EUTECT pursues a consistent approach to the circular economy. Functional components such as mini-wave modules, solder nozzles, cables, control components and the process cell are not disposed of after use, but refurbished, tested and reused for new applications.
The basis is the cradle-to-cradle principle (C2C). Instead of disposing of products, materials should remain as "technical nutrients" in closed technical cycles and not become waste. This concept was developed by Michael Braungart and William McDonough and is based on complete reuse, recycling or regeneration.
EUTECT consistently applies the cradle-to-cradle principle to selective soldering technology:
- Reuse: Voll funktionsfähige Teile werden überarbeitet und in neuwertigem Zustand erneut eingesetzt, z.B. Lötmodule und Düsen.
- Modularity & interchangeability: The electronics and cabling of the E-cells are installed centrally in easily replaceable control cabinets. This increases ease of servicing and facilitates expansion in line with the cradle-to-cradle principle.
- Conservation of resources: The material value is retained and the environmental impact is reduced by reworking, replacing used parts and extensive testing.
Preservation of expertise: Earlier developments are preserved as technical knowledge and continue to be utilised. - Circular economy: The entire process is part of a sustainable cycle in which technology and reusable components are integrated into new projects.
This approach offers customers a significant increase in cost-effectiveness and flexibility. Machines do not necessarily have to be purchased, but are also available as rental or leasing models. For example, for prototyping, pre-series production or as test systems in the in-house technical centre.
This reduces investment risks, speeds up project launches and shortens delivery times. This applies equally to complete systems and individual soldering modules, which are available directly from stock. If a module requires maintenance, a refurbished replacement module with the same performance can be provided at short notice and without delay.
