Mastering system integration with product-specific solution expertise - selective soldering processes from the modular system

System integrators and machine manufacturers often have to deal with a heterogeneous system landscape. At the same time, increasingly complex technologies require ever more sophisticated production steps. This also applies in particular to selective soldering processes. This is where the soldering experts at EUTECT provide support with the IW1 selective solder wave module and the IW1-2 double wave module. The solder wave modules contained in the specially developed modular system allow a variety of manufacturing processes for complex products to be optimised.

The EUTECT soldering specialists' technology kit gives system integrators and machine builders direct access to the latest process and system solutions, specific control technologies and software modules. In addition, customers benefit from extensive solution expertise and proactive advice built up over 25 years.

The EUTECT soldering specialists develop defined solutions for complex soldering tasks and production requirements based on a wide range of process experience. The IW1 selective mini wave soldering module and the IW1-2 double wave module are suitable for soldering a wide range of assemblies and the high-temperature soldering process for enamelled copper wire processing. The modules guarantee a soldering process free of oxides and residues thanks to an inert gas atmosphere.

Thanks to the well thought-out design and the easily accessible solder tank, the mini shaft modules can be serviced quickly and efficiently. The inner pipe is accessible via a simple screw connection, which makes it easy to clean or replace. The outer tube, which is equipped with an additional heater with adjustable output, is also easier to clean. This minimises downtimes as well as maintenance work and costs.

The modules also have dynamic control technology, which is why they hardly need to be readjusted and only minimally if necessary. The solder bath temperature is monitored and controlled twice. In addition, the solder bath can be heated to process temperature using a timer even before the shaft is started up, whereby individual adjustments can be made at any time. The modules are also characterised by low slag formation (non-productive solder consumption). Proper use and adherence to the service and maintenance intervals ensure low wear. As the shaft is quickly available due to the short service and maintenance times, the general running costs and maintenance costs can be reduced to a minimum.

Optimised design for precise soldering processes

For even more efficient soldering processes and a guaranteed stable and reproducible connection between component and substrate, the EUTECT soldering specialists also develop and design soldering nozzles with customised gas hood geometry tailored to customer-specific applications. Depending on the application, solder nozzles designed in dot, line, ring or matrix form ensure a solder flow that corresponds exactly to the solder joints on the assembly and allow several solder joints to be soldered in just one stroke. This minimises the thermal load on neighbouring components and optimises the cycle time.

The soldering experts support system integrators and machine manufacturers with feasibility analyses and provide the end customer with proof of process capability, whereby EUTECT can also assume responsibility for the process. The aim of the experts is to design systems efficiently, flexibly and optimally for customer-specific process and product qualities. The EUTECT specialists therefore take process-critical parameters into account during design and configuration in order to achieve optimum soldering processes.
